Web app prototype

Working prototype

Parent Gaming Settings Hub

A clearer front door to the official Microsoft family and Xbox settings parents usually have to hunt for.

The problem

Why it exists

I built this after getting fed up trying to find one of my son’s Minecraft permission settings. The setting was there, but buried on a separate account page with no obvious link from the family controls. The hub puts those scattered gaming settings in one place and sends you straight to the official page to change them.

What is implemented

The useful bits

  • 01

Direct routes to official family safety, Xbox privacy, cloud gaming, and remote play pages

  • 02

Regional Xbox links with the selected locale stored only on the device

  • 03

Installable PWA shell with an offline fallback for the hub itself

  • 04

No app account, advertising, analytics, or collection of Microsoft credentials

Current limits / no hand-waving

What this page is not claiming

This is a useful web-first prototype, not a Store release. The git will soon be published.
